The General Store

In rural America the general store was often the
focal point of community activity. Whatever your needs they could
usually be met in the old store on the town's main street.
Common to most general stores was a pot bellied stove where
generations came together to warm their hands, catch up on the news,
and spin a few tales.
Such places today are rare. But, here in the cyber world there still
exists just such a place.
So, welcome to Chapman's General Store. Pull up an old wooden chair
and warm your feet for a spell. Did I ever tell you about.....?
To date, I haven't been disappointed. As the site has evolved it has become a collection of pieces ranging from those dealing with important issues of our time, to personal histories, community history, human tragedy, fiction and tales that simply make us smile.
My other wish was to avoid the extremes of political and religious ideology. All are welcome to submit and there are few topics that may not be written about. However, there is no room here for extremists or radicals of any persuasion. Only those who are tolerant in their beliefs need apply.
Your creations, suggestions, criticisms and comments are always welcome.
NOTE: We have added a comments form page to make it easier and more private for you to submit input and comments about the site and its content. We'd love to hear from you.
It is ready. You can now enjoy FREE ads for your yard sales, garage sales, church sales and events, club events, personal classified ads, etc. Go to either www.freesaleads.com or www.yardsaleohio.com and email us the information requested. That's it, easy, simple, and FREE!
